Mouse Pad: Obviously nothing complicated about this project but they are fun to make and are sure to out live they're store-bought counterpart. I decided to try making one of these because my old mouse pad was falling apart and leaving black flakes all over my computer desk. I was sure leather would be better!
This particular one was made for a customer of 8/9 oz tooling leather, 9 3/4" x 8 1/2". Suede backing, and laced with approximately 8 yards of 1/8" calf lace. The tooling designs are from Craftaids, dyed using Pro Dye, resist applied, then antiqued. If making one of these yourself take care to leave the center area of your mouse pad smooth to assure proper tracking.
