What is a mailing list? A mailing list is a place where people can create communication forums to discuss a topic with other people who share a similar interest with the ability to reach a large number of other people by sending a single message. Joining the IILG Leather List will give you the opportunity to share your interest in leatherwork with others. The IILG mailing list is hosted by Yahoo! Groups, so when you subscribe to our list, you also gain access to other list-related content and features with a current Yahoo! ID. See "How-To Set Up a Yahoo! ID" with screen shots.

How to I join the Leather List? For your convenience, there is a direct link for joining the list on this page. Once you submit your email address, you will receive a confirmation email message from Yahoo! Groups to which you must reply. If you do not respond, your request will not be forwarded to the list moderator.

NOTE: When you sign up for the list, it may take several days before you are appoved by the list moderator. Once approved, you will receive a welcome message from Yahoo! Groups. If you do not receive this message within a few days, please make sure you have correctly typed your email address and reapply. If you have any questions, contact IILG Secretary.

You will receive a message from Yahoo! Groups requesting further information.

When your application is approved you will be able to read and post messages to the list.

If your email address is suspicious or contains sexually explicit words, you will not be approved for this list.

We are a family friendly list and will not tolerate spam, get rich schemes, or chain letters. You will be expected to keep your conversation on the topic of leather. The list is not intended for telling jokes or sharing information that is not leather-related.

    • How do I send messages to the list?
      • After you have subscribed you can send a message using this email address:
        iilg-leather@yahoogroups.com
      • You can reply to a message that has been sent via the leather list. If you reply, your message will go to all of the members on the list. If you want to reply to the sender only, you will have to copy/paste or type in the sender's email address which should be located in the header of the email.
      • You can go to the Yahoo! Groups web page (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/iilg-leather) and use the “post” under the “message” heading located at the top left of the screen.

      • You can go to http://groups.yahoo.com/mygroups and use the “My Email Preferences” link. You are the only one who can change your email address within Yahoo! Groups.
      • You can also change your email delivery status, via the “Edit My Groups” link, to receive all messages with any attachments, a daily digest of messages, or no email.
        NOTE: only the "Individual Emails" setting will deliver any attachments members may send.

The leather list is a public list that anyone can join. If you decide to join the IILG, you will be added to the member’s list in Yahoo! Groups. A lot of information is shared on this list that is not available on the leather list.
